Scientific Atlanta Foundation
Cisco and Scientific Atlanta share a culture and philosophy
of corporate social responsibility and community
involvement. Companies in today’s global economy are not
only accountable for the quality of their products and the
profitability of their businesses, they also have an
obligation to fulfill social and environmental commitments
to their employees, customers, partners and shareholders as
well as to the communities in which they operate. Our
Community Relations programs and partnerships make it
possible for us to give back to the local community in many
significant ways, at various levels of involvement. By
leveraging our human, technical, financial and business
resources, we and our partners are able to make a real
difference in the community and improve the way people work,
live, play and learn.
To support Cisco’s corporate citizenship and community
relations efforts, Scientific Atlanta Foundation continues
its legacy of investing in the local community through an
annual grant process. Each spring, the Foundation considers
requests for programmatic and capital support from 501(c)(3)
tax-exempt organizations. Proposals should support the
following focus areas: education, health & human services
and civic infrastructure.
Proposals aligned with Foundation focus areas and impacting
communities where company offices or facilities are located
will be considered. Special consideration will be given to
proposals impacting math, science and technology education.
We invite qualified non-profit organizations to submit
proposals that respond to the criteria and priorities
outlined in the following guidelines.
