Enhanced Features
  • Apollo Comport Enable/Disable - Ports configured to run Apollo can now be dynamically enabled/disabled. This is a means to stop polling and get the connected RCDS devices in local control.

  • IIOP communication - The main system parameters now provide a means to configure the timeout used in IIOP communications.

  • DOCSIS HMS PS - The community strings and SNMP version is now configurable. The integration now supports 2 strings of up to 5 batteries in each string.

  • AM Transponders in combination with Phoenix - It is now also possible to put alarm thresholds on the Modem Received Level.

  • Apollo serial ports - It is now possible to use multiple serial ports for the Apollo functionality.

  • Security transfer from ROSA - When opening the applet of the ROSA EM, it is now possible to pass an additional parameter to define the privilege level to be used.

Bug Fixes
  • Copy Global can be implemented on parameter points that are stored in devices.

  • 6275 Demodulator device graphic is now 1U high.

  • Titan MKII voltage measurements have been removed from the parameters table.

  • Clearing the encoder configuration will now blank the backup priorities. This allows reprogramming when a new configuration is applied.

  • AM Transponders in combination with Phoenix now supports negative values for the Modem Received Level.

  • DSN protocol for QPSK Modulator/Demodulator has been made more robust against bad command responses.

  • D96xx integration via IIOP correctly generates the “outgoing stuffing rate too high” on a D96xx with QPSK card. Added tolerance when having a connection loss towards D96xx.

  • Vikinx protocol - Added more tolerance and correct handling of spurious communication problems.

  • Alarm severity change - Changing the severity of an alarm will trigger making this change persistent.

  • Apollo interfacing - Fix in the communication between ROSA EM (RCDS) and Apollo to handle the return codes of commands properly. If the device returns no data in reply to the command, ROSA EM will no longer consider this to be an error.

  • Backup manager - Fix for race-condition in the backup manager when powering down/up an entire rack (encoders, D96xx and ROSA EM).

ROSA EM 3.0.20 Release Enhancements

Enhancement Description
New Supported Products
  • New devtype: adcltx750-tx7

  • rs7000dd2 - Rhode & Schwarz Dual Driver 2 Transmitter through NetCCU

Changes to Supported Products
  • p215txsb - Prisma-II 1550nm EM Optical Transmitter (Gap Bridger) Corrected alarm limits

  • p2cpoasingler2 - Prisma-II CPOA Single Pump Amplifier (Post Amp) Changes to make input power limits settable

  • A/B protection Switching enhancement on ADC DV6000 DX, MX, and DAP modules

  • DV6016RPS - Added operation mode fields on ADC DV6000 Repeater Shelf

Correct Errors/Bugs
  • Trap Sending - When changing the Trap Threshold it was possible to have situations where certain traps were not sent. The trap generation is reviewed completely and should work correctly now.

  • Notification System fixes - TNCS Code base didn’t correctly manage the Master TNCS situation that needed to notify for the sub managed TNCS/ROSA EM systems.

  • Orbitor is now galaxy module - The orbitor was lacking a proper slot point. This is fixed now, so that it can be visualized in any position of the galaxy chassis.

  • TitanMKII - The BER minor and and major high limit where swapped, in order to be correct now.

  • TNCS Code base didn’t correctly reference other servers when blanks appeared in the server list. This is now fixed. The bug had influence on Notes, graphics and timed events server referencing.

  • VikinX Timeout handling - The timeout system is revised to also cope with larger routers.

Operational Limitations
  • Performance logging from Rosa cannot be done on Prisma II through SNMP managed devices, using the p2snmpmod devtype.

  • Online Add using ROSA EM Web GUI: Port Combox doesn't properly let you select a different port with the mouse. Work around: use the arrow keys to select a different communication port. Alternative: install a higher Java Runtime Environment. e.g. 1.4.2. Do note that the PEGASUS GUI is not compatible with JRE versions higher than 1.3.1

ROSA EM 2.0.17 Release Enhancements

Enhancement Description
New Featurs
  • Trap Filter - Rosa/EM can now be configured such that it does no longer send SNMP traps for devices that are off-scan and/or in maintenance mode.

Correct Errors/Bugs
