ROSA EM includes a web server that allows the user to view the ROSA EM screens from any standard web browser – no client software is required. This is a major benefit for the users who no longer have to keep specialized client software on their computers in synch with the latest version of the ROSA EM. Through the Java applet in the ROSA EM, the technician or engineer can fully manage the alarms conditions, query devices for specific information and configure parameters on individual devices. All of this functionality can be accomplished remotely from their desk top or even from home via the on call technician’s laptop 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Tabbed Panel View

The user has two options for viewing the managed devices: the Graphic Display or the Tabbed Panes. In the Graphic Display mode, the user will be shown the equipment mounted in vertical racks as if they were standing in front of the racks. If an alarm condition is detected, the device in alarm will blink and when the user double clicks on the device a new window will open displaying all of the device specific information including the parameter in alarm. In the Tabbed Panes mode the user will use the device tree on the left to navigate to the specific device in alarm. When the user clicks on that device the main window will display all of the device specific information organized under several tabs. The user is free to change the mode of viewing at any time by simply selecting the view option on the main menu bar.
