ROSA Network Management System

Add-on Extensions and Tasks
ROSA’s open software architecture covers nearly all aspects of service management, network management and element management. In its basic framework, ROSA can handle such function as alarm logging, maintaining an interconnection model, performance data logging, storage of configuration data and other database tables.

By adding off-the shelf ROSA extensions, one can tune the ROSA system to market-specific needs. ROSA application-specific extensions are realized as easily integrated protocol drivers, device drivers, automation tasks or service description components.

Automation tasks are the real power behind the ROSA system. Using ROSA’s device interconnection model, these tasks can automatically perform functions such as analyzing your network performance and taking corrective actions such as device and service backup or automatic alignment. Since automation tasks run on the ROSA Copernicus Server, without intervention by the ROSA client, your service is guaranteed, even if your data communication network to the Network Operations Center is temporarily down. Depending on the particular application and architecture, one can install a comprehensive set of additional components on ROSA.
