Manage the Complexity of your
Equipment, Network and Services |
ROSA facilitates the set-up and
configuration of your equipment, network and
services. Setting specific hardware device
parameter, or mapping the logical structure of
your network, is easy. All device driver set-up
screens are designed to be similar in appearance
using common Windows type icons, buttons,
folder-tabs and pull-down menus. Adding hardware
devices or software tasks is just as easy. ROSA
automatically detects new hardware on your
network and prompts you for inputs on the most
important device parameters. The ROSA system
also maintains a database, which describes the
interconnection between devices. The service
level configuration components assist you in
introducing and describing the services you
receive and provide.

Is your Maintenance driven by Alarms
or by real Pro-Activity?
Prove your Service Quality and
Availability |
The ROSA system offers powerful
performance management functions, capable of
generating extensive reports on the performance
of your equipment, network and services.
Proactive maintenance is only possible when the
network management system helps technicians to
find the weakest spots in the network. Detecting
performance degradation and comparing
performance of components installed in different
locations are typical targets of ROSA’s
proactive performance management tools.
Find the
weakest parts of your network
The ROSA system
can be configured to periodically log a variety
of performance measurements in its performance
log database. Using powerful reporting tools,
you can then use ROSA to analyze your network
performance and drive preventive maintenance
actions by focusing on the weakest part of the
network. Graphical reports are available for
comparing the quality of different services,
comparing performance at different network
locations and for plotting performance evolution
over time. One can start with a very general
query involving multiple sites and services and
then pinpoint the problem by narrowing down the
selection and range of data.
Security Management
ROSA is a secure management system. It
allows operators to specify different levels of
user access to the software system. User roles,
such as “technician” or “administrator”, can be
defined in ROSA. These roles can then be
assigned to individuals or groups. This provides
control over access and the flexibility to
change specific access settings as your
operation changes or grows. ROSA also provides
event logging and tracing capability. If events
occur in the network operation that warrants
investigation, they can be viewed at an
administration level. Event tracing identifies
what happened, when it happened, who took action
and what resulted.
Customized Security
Users and
groups can be defined by job type or location,
giving maximum flexibility in assigning
authorization, while maintaining a secure
network environment.
