The self-study focuses on the processes and tasks performed by a DNCS Operator to provision elements and services. The self-study follows the structure of the course Activating and Operating a Digital Subscriber Network and reinforces topics taught in this course, speeding students' understanding and ability to operate a DBDS.

Audience
This self-study is designed for Digital Network Control System (DNCS) Operators or personnel who are responsible for operating a DBDS that has been upgraded to SR 1.4/1.5 or that is scheduled to be upgraded to SR 1.4/1.5

Prerequisites
The following prerequisites are required:

  • Successful completion of the course Activating and Operating Digital Subscriber Networks
  • Three months' experience in using a DNCS to operate and maintain a DBDS
